Apples and Pears

Necklace: Great Grandmother's
Ruby Wreath Brooch: Gift from Grandmother
Red Bangles: Old
Red Leather Belt: Thrifted
Land's End Kids Dress: Thrifted
Petticoat: Self Made
Heels: Marshall's

So if you looked to see where I bought my dress you learned it's a kid's dress!!!!  It was hanging with the ladies dresses at the thrift shop so I held it up and said, "That looks like it should fit," without even glancing at the size.  Well it did fit, so sure, I'll wear a kid's dress any day! :o)  They get the best prints anyways.

Cute story:
An elderly man at church called Hubby over and told him he might want to "check his wife's slip."  Hubby told him he thought it was meant to show a little bit. :o)  But wasn't that the sweetest most gentlemanly thing of him to do?

If you're wondering about the tape on my wrists, it seems to help the tendonitis I'm still dealing with from way back in the Spring.  Every time I get close to getting it healed up, I do something strenuous and aggravate it all over again.  So I started buying pretty colored athletic tape and making it part of my outfits. :o)

My little 2 year old took the last photo.  Yeah, I'm a super proud mama!

Casual Diane Freis

Butterfly Earrings: Gift from Sister-In-Law
Orange Watch: Gift from Brother
Black and Yellow Bracelets: Burke's Outlet
Belt: Local Leather Shop
Tank: Wal-Mart
Skirt: Refashioned from a Diane Freis Dress
Wedges: Dillards (clearance)

I just love this skirt.  Love it!  It has crazy color, crazy pattern, and it's SILK!  It just floats.  What a dream to wear.

And the earrings!  They flutter around on my ears light as air.  So much fun to wear.  They are real butterfly wings that have been laminated.  I had fun matching my bracelets to my earrings. :o)

Happy Birthday

See that face?  That is my "I'm so excited I got an Orange Leather Motorcycle Jacket for my Birthday" face!!! :o)  Thank you Hubby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why the broom you ask?  I wanted a pretty broom and my sister found one with Orange and other bright colors on it!  Sorry it looks Red in the picture, but the sun had already set so we didn't have good light for photos.

I got lots of great birthday loot from my WONDERFUL family!  They really know me and bought the perfect gifts.

I think I will frame that last photo.  Yes I will!  Rocket wanted to relight the candles and blow them out again. :o)  Hubby singed his fingers a bit lighting alllll of them, so we didn't go for a second round.

I kept my outfit pretty simple for my birthday, but I still loved it!  The top is thrifted vintage.  The skirt came from Dillard's on clearance.  The sandals are Crocs.

Only a half hour left of my birthday, it was a great day! :o)
